A Gold Rush at Maranoa Regional Council

Maranoa Regional Council is reaching new heights after securing its third Gold in a row at the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) in Sydney this week.

Having achieved a Gold award for the 2015/16 and 2014/15 annual reports, and a Bronze Award for the 2013/14 annual report, Council has successfully maintained its winning streak with its 2016/17 Annual Report.

Deputy Mayor Jan Chambers says maintaining a Gold standard is a challenging and important task which Council was once again committed to achieving.

“Summarising the year’s highs and lows, in a transparent, accountable and balanced format is the purpose when collating the Annual Report. By entering ourselves into the Australasian Reporting Awards, we are able to benchmark ourselves against other government, private and public-sector organisations in Australia and internationally.”

“We are incredibly proud to have reached this Gold standard for the third year in a row, and we congratulate all involved – this is a very exciting achievement for us at Maranoa Regional Council.”

The ARA is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteer professionals that encourages a high standard of communication when it comes to financial and business information in the form of an annual report.
