The main car park at the Big Rig Parklands will be closed from 7am on Saturday, 12 August to allow for the set-up of the Maranoa Food and Fire Festival, however the Big Rig Café will open as normal.

Parking for the festival will be available between the Big Rig and Roma Explorers Inn. Wallumbilla SES will be assisting with parking, patrons are encouraged to give a gold coin donation for the service.

A shuttle bus will be departing from the Maranoa PCYC, 34 – 44 George St, which is available to festival-goers for a gold coin donation. The shuttle will run every half an hour from 3-9pm. Councillor Cameron O’Neil, Portfolio Chair for Events, said families are encouraged to use the shuttle bus service when travelling to the festival.

The Big Rig Café will be open normal operating hours from 8.30am – 2pm. The gift shop will be open from 8.30am – 5pm. Parking for café patrons will be available near the Big Rig, off the Warrego Highway or at the bottom of McDowall St.

There will be signage for parking on the day.
