The day of love is almost upon us and if you find yourself twitching with nerves the dance floor is certainly a great place to let off some steam!
Whether you’ve got yourself a partner or you’re looking to impress, you can grab a rose and strike a pose at the Valentines Day Ball next Saturday night.
Roma residents will sway to the brassy tunes of Toowoomba’s Cool Nights Big Band who are visiting the region for the special event.
The full-sized big band will be playing for the very first time in Roma, offering up a repertoire of swing, rock, jazz and pop.
Musical Director Gavin Mckenzie said he was looking forward to being in Roma and playing their hits for the locals.
“We’ve never actually played in Roma ourselves as a band but we’re excited to come out there and show Roma what we have to offer,” Gavin says.
“We play all sorts of genres including funk and modern pop and we hope Roma enjoys all the different styles we play, I mean our music will really appeal to anyone and everyone.”
The big band started their music journey in 2006 and became a Toowoomba icon before travelling around Australia in a variety of gigs and shows.
“Even though we’ll have to quickly return back to Toowoomba for more shows, we are hoping everyone turns up to the ball and enjoys our music.” Gavin says.
Grab your tickets for Roma’s Valentine’s Day Ball before it’s too late and get ready to dance the night away!
