The women of the Maranoa are pretty amazing and what better way to celebrate them then with breakfast, good company and conversation!
The Zonta Club of Roma invited the wonderful women of the region to attend their International Women’s Day breakfast at Explorer’s Inn on Tuesday.
About 100 ladies of all ages attended the breakfast to hear guest speaker Tina Coco, State Clincial Manager and Nursing Director of DonateLife Qld.
Ms Coco spoke about her experience in promoting the importance of organ and tissue donation throughout the world.
“[Organ donation] should be a decision that people learn about when they’re alive and well, make that decision, whether it’s yes or no and tell their family,” Ms Coco said.
“Women are the decision makers in families and they’re the ones who educate their own families and the community,”
