Councillor Janelle Stanford, Portfolio Chair for Community & Social Services is inviting everyone to join in on Harmony Day celebrations on Saturday, 19 March in Roma.
Councillor Stanford says a great family day has been organized.
The Programme includes multicultural performances, food and activities for adults and kids.
Councillor Stanford says diversity in the Maranoa is what makes our region a fantastic place to live.
“With many different cultures living and working in the Maranoa, what better way to celebrate our community then with a day full of family fun”.
“Also, it’s a great way to show respect and gratitude to those that make our country what it is today, I encourage everyone to come along and celebrate.”
Council is looking for community members to get involved on the day to share their culture.
Whether it is showing your traditional dress, performing a song or preparing some food, please contact Council’s Community Support Officer on 1300 007 662 if you can help on the day.
