“With changes to the Chain of Responsibility laws due to commence on October 1st, 2018 it is important that primary producers be aware of any changes that may impact on their farming operation.”

“Following concerns raised by primary producers, I have invited the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) to be available to producers at the Roma Saleyards on 17th July 2018 to answer any questions.”

“Chain of Responsibility laws aren’t new for farmers, but there are important changes that all local businesses need to be aware of.”

Ms Leahy says she is keen to make sure that local primary producers are aware of these changes and understand what additional steps, if any, are required to meet the law changes.

The Chain of Responsibility forum will be held in Roma from 9:00am 17th July 2018 at the Roma Saleyards.

Staff from NHVR will be available to answer questions and the attendance is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
