Maranoa Regional Council is on the lookout for residents interested in volunteering their time at the region’s facilities and Visitor Information Centres.
And they’re also on the hunt for creative types and friendly team members to volunteer at our local libraries and art galleries.
Councillor Puddy Chandler, Portfolio Chair for Tourism says there are a number of volunteering opportunities throughout the region.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our many community groups and Council facilities, such as Visitor Information Centres, libraries and art galleries.”
“Essential to our thriving tourism industry, volunteers in our Visitor Information Centres provide vital information about the region to entice visitors to stay a while and enjoy themselves.”
• Receive on the job training and experience familiarization tours throughout the year.
• Lead storytelling, arts, crafts and reading groups for children and adults in our libraries.
• Assist with the setup and pull down of exhibitions at art galleries.
• Tailor your commitment to fit your lifestyle.
Would be volunteers can register their interest at Visitor Information Centres, libraries or galleries.
Or there’s a recruitment day on at Westlands Plaza in Roma on Tuesday, 14 March 2017.
