Outback Qld Tourism Focus Comes to Roma

There’s an excitement building in the halls of Maranoa Regional Council as excitement mounts for the hosting of the Outback Queensland Tourism Symposium and Awards in Roma in November.

outback_queensland_tourism_association_1Councillor Puddy Chandler, Portfolio Chair for Tourism said the Outback Queensland Tourism Symposium and Awards will see tourism’s best and brightest unite in Roma for four days.

“This is a great opportunity for local operators to learn about upcoming industry trends, meet with people who can promote their events and tourism products and even explore more of their own backyard.”

From Thursday, 1 November passionate tourism advocates and professionals from across Queensland will arrive in the Maranoa for a full program of industry excellence initiatives.

The Symposium will feature guest speakers, including those from leading futurists consulting firm – Emergent Futures, Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), the Big Red Bash and Maranoa’s own Australian Nature Guides.
