There’s an excitement building in the halls of Maranoa Regional Council as excitement mounts for the hosting of the Outback Queensland Tourism Symposium and Awards in Roma in November.
“This is a great opportunity for local operators to learn about upcoming industry trends, meet with people who can promote their events and tourism products and even explore more of their own backyard.”
From Thursday, 1 November passionate tourism advocates and professionals from across Queensland will arrive in the Maranoa for a full program of industry excellence initiatives.
The Symposium will feature guest speakers, including those from leading futurists consulting firm – Emergent Futures, Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), the Big Red Bash and Maranoa’s own Australian Nature Guides.
Cr Chandler says there’s numerous networking and social events to attend.
“Council is very excited to be able to offer Thursday’s conference at no charge and Friday’s conference for only $40, exclusively to local residents.”
