Car spotlights theft

Two light force LED spotlights worth approximately $1000 were stolen from a Western Star prime mover parked at the intersection of the Warrego Highway and Chapel Lane between 9pm on Monday April 18 and 9am on Tuesday April 19.

The offenders unscrewed the two spotlights before cutting the wires to remove them from the bull bar of the vehicle.

 

Arson at the Roma Bush Gardens

Police are investigating three deliberately lit fires.

The first fire occurred on Saturday April 23 at approximately 4 am near the Railway Dam and was 10 meters by  10 meters.

The second fire occurred on Sunday 24 at approximately 2 pm on the western side of the Roma Bush Gardens and was 20 meters by 30 meters.

A third fire was discovered east of the Roma Bush Gardens entry point and was 10 meters by 2 meters.

Queensland Rural Fire Service attended all three scenes and quickly extinguished the blaze.

Police reported that there were a number of juvenile female persons in the vicinity of the Roma Bush Gardens at the time of the fires.

Police are conducting their inquiries in regards to the offenders and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

 

 

Break and enter

Police attended a disturbance at a Roma residence on the morning of Saturday April 23 where a 23 year old male from Mount Morgan fled the scene.

The man was later located during the interception of a vehicle after attempting to hide in the rear passenger seat.

Upon further inquires the police confirmed the man failed to appear at Richlands Magistrates Court on March 3 for a series of charges including three counts of break and enter, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruction to police and license offenses.

The accused will face the charges at the Roma Magistrates Court on Tuesday April 26.
