Break and Enter

Between midnight on Sunday 21 February and 10 am on Monday 22 February, offenders entered a rural property in Hodgson and allegedly broke into a shed.

The alleged offenders stole a Hitachi jackhammer, a Honda generator and a toolbox worth the value of approximately $2000.

Police are still conducting their investigations and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

 

Drugs arrest

On Wednesday 24 February around 8 pm, police intercepted a Holden Commodore during a standard RBT check at the Roma Truck pads rest stop.

Police allege the driver, a 49 year old female from Gemfields was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and took a sample of blood after the driver admitted to smoking synthetic cannabis.

The accused was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils.

 

Commonwealth Hotel Robbery

On Friday 26 February, a Commonwealth Hotel patron reportedly had their wallet stolen around midnight after it was left unattended.

The alleged offender used the cards from the stolen wallet at a local service station to make a purchase.

Police located the alleged offender, a 26 year old male from St. George and charged him with stealing and fraud.

The accused appears on March 30 in Roma Magistrates Court at 9 am.

 

Drugs arrest

On Saturday 27 February around 2 pm, police intercepted a vehicle travelling through Roma heading towards Emerald for speeding.

After conducting an RBT and searching the vehicle, police allege a large quantity of amphetamines, MDMA capsules and utensils were located.

A 21 year old female from Emerald was arrested and charged with possession of utensils and supplying dangerous drugs.

A 21 year old male from Emerald was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs exceeding the scheduled quantity, and possession of utensils.
