Roma’s Big Rig Still at the Tourist Heart

The Big Rig café may be currently closed for renovations, but the Big Rig remains the ‘Big Heart’ of Maranoa tourism as we run up to Christmas and New Year holiday season.

With many families expecting visitors over the break the advice is simple- Make sure you include a visit to the Big Rig Visitor and Information Centre.

Council says the centre is open, 7 days a week, from 9am-5pm.

Councillor Puddy Chandler, Portfolio Chair for Tourism says it is the hot spot for our visitors to Roma.

“If you’re visiting Roma and new to the region, be sure to stop in and get the low-down on everything our Maranoa has to offer this summer with Council’s tourism staff and Visit Roma volunteers available to share information and local tips about what to see and do around the Maranoa region.”

The Oil Patch Museum is open 7 days a week, and the Big Rig Night Show operates three nights a week with tickets to be purchased from the Big Rig by close of business on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
