The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of a possible severe thunderstorm heading to our towns later this afternoon.
The Bureau says the storm is likely to hit areas such as Maranoa, Warrego, Darling Downs, Granite Belt, including Goondiwindi and the Central West, as well as Coalfields and Capricornia
At 2pm, the thunderstorm was detected near Oaky and Jimna, heading over to Toowoomba
The Bureau has issued warnings of damaging winds, heavy rainfall, flooding and large hailstones. Queensland Fire and Emergency advises people to move cars away from trees and to beware of fallen powerlines.
