Maranoa Regional Council’s Christmas Hamper Appeal is underway and open for donations.
With Christmas fast approaching Council is seeking donations from people who can help by providing monetary donations or non-perishable food items such as Christmas cake/puddings, biscuits or Savoury crackers.
Councillor Janelle Stanford, Portfolio Chair for Community and Social Services says items such as nuts, long-life custard, jelly or tinned fruit and tinned vegetables also work well.
“Long-life milk, Large packets of chips and the like are also welcome.”
“Council is asking residents and businesses to donate anything they can for those in need this festive season.”
“The Christmas Hamper Appeal closes on Friday, 23 November, please donate today.”
Monetary or non-perishable food donations can be made at any Council Customer Service Centre.
