Roma State College Junior Campus students were treated to a guest appearance by the Vegie Man last Friday, as well as a high energy performance by the Ripper Skippers.
Vegie Man was at the school promoting a new free healthy lifestyle program for families that will commence in Roma on Thursday 15 October.
Kathy Morrow, QLD Health, presented to students and parents and invited all interested people to attend the nine weekly sessions, which run for approximately 1 hour.
“The PEACH program provides practical nutrition information to help make the healthy choice the easy choice, with a focus on affordable healthy eating.
“The sessions will be held at the Junior Campus, with parents and carers attending one session and children attending a separate, fun and active, session that will run concurrently to the adult session.
“We will also provide practical information to encourage active bodies which then leads to active minds, there will be supporting information to take home and ongoing family support,” she said.
