State Agriculture Minister Leanne Donaldson is calling on the coalition Government to stump up and match the Federal ALP promise today to provide and match Queensland’s additional $5 million for wild dog fencing in western Queensland.
“Today the Shadow Minister for Agriculture Joel Fitzgibbon has confirmed that a Federal Labor Government will match that $5 million.”
“This is a program that is in high demand and additional funding will be warmly received by producers.”
There is already a $15 million Feral Pest Initiative being rolled out that will be a huge boost to producers.
“It is great that Federal Labor has made this commitment to match the Palaszczuk Government’s funding and I am now calling on the Coalition and Federal Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce to do the same.”
